Recent photographs from my travels which will no doubt be the key cause to why I fail uni this semester but photography > policing culture and deviance. These were taken with my Canon 350D (which surprises people yet I fail to understand how a better body would help things when I'm shooting at ISO100? Strange..) but anyway a Canon 10-22, Cokin Z-Pro GND and a tripod.

Ok OT rip me a new hole and tell me what you don't like about these. I enjoy posting my images here as it's less BS *cough* POTN and straight to the point

    1 & 3 are cool... 2 is pretty boring.

The crop/frame on #1 is pretty good... I would have liked to have seen a slightly longer shutter speed though, maybe 1-1.5 sec....

#3 could be cropped/framed a little better. Try putting the cliff in the upper left corner of the frame (like you did in #1) and again, a slightly longer SS would have been nice.

Thanks for the kind comments all

$149 from bhphoto but they are delicate things and have already had to replace two of the filters when my tripod was smashed by a gust of wind.

A Singh-Ray GND reverse needs to make its way to my filter setup but at $190 for one, shit is not cheap.

Thanks for the feedback as I was really hanging out for some direct comments about what sucks etc. Planning to re-shoot it next week so will take your comments into account, thanks.

im gonna go a bit different.

#2 is my favorite. I like the texture of the water against the rock. Both have a porous texture, yet they're completely different surfaces.

However, if you're going to reshoot, move over to the right a bit. Put the centered bottom 3rd rock on the right side and get lower to make it seem a bit wider.

#3 is my least favorite. the vingetting + the dark foreground make it really dull to me. the light on the cliff makes it the brightest part of the shot, and draws my eye back, but that cliff should not be the focus. The sky and the reflection are much more interesting. Could use a different comp, and perhaps better overall lighting.

#1 I love the sky and water, but wish there was *some* detail in the cliff. minor picking point, good shot.

#4, it bothers me asthetically that the cliff stops dead center in the frame. Move it to a side and pick your composure. The receding wave is georgous though.

overall, I love your shit. Keep posting new stufff!

I love the last one. My only comment is that I think it could be improved by cropping the sky a bit. Great shot!!
