I play Oblivion still with mods from time to time, Medieval2 Total War, Empire Total War, and Fallout 3 with mods. I like games with substance and there's such a lack of them that I get rather bored.

Anyway I'm thinking of either playing modded Morrowind or whatever you guys recomend that sounds fun.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl and Stalker: Clear Sky both seem up your alley. The Witcher would be good as well.

    Psychonauts, PC version.

That is, if you haven't played it yet.

    Awesome game.

    Played and loved

I get bored with The Witcher right before getting into the first city :o but I still have it installed

Never heard but I'll look it up :bigthumb:

Sims 3 was pretty :greddy: imo but I think I've heard of Sacred 2 before and it looked interesting

Yeah you will probably enjoy these though I have to say it's a shock coming from fallout when you come into every single building and there is NOTHING to pick up as compared to tons and tons of inane (sometimes valuable) shit to pick up in FO3.

Combat is more fun in Stalker since you aim down the iron sights. I don't know about substance in those games though. It sure seems that way when you get started then the whole rest of the game is just realizing how little substance there is (lots of repetition w/slight variations)

not to mention there is such an obscene amount of walking in that game.

Worth a shot for threat starter though, they aren't bad, some elements are down right great, but IMO they are flawed

It's a really trippy game and is pretty funny too.

Another good game I'm currently playing is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I wish my computer ran it better though, at 1680x1050 it doesn't seem to move smoothly almost ever :wtc: quad-core 6600, 4gb ram, 9800gt 512mb

I have to turn AA and fullscreen effects off for it to run well, but I don't really mind not having fullscreen effects because they were just annoying as hell anyway.

The game recognizes my xbox 360 controller on the PC but it doesn't get the buttons right at all, so I had to switch them around and on button sequences I keep getting owned because when it says "x" I have to push B y works but b and a are switched too :squint: Annoying as hell but I persevere, pretty fun game. I'm sure it'd be a lot better if you actually like comic book characters (i don't really but the action is awesome).

It sounds cool, but the gameplay videos aren't really doing it for me. They need to make an open world superhero single player rpg where you make your own superhero or villain. You start off with basic powers and work your way up to making them awesome as fuck :o

Go play COD, some of us want substance to our shooters. Sure it's buggy but they will iron it out. It's basically Operation Flashpoint 2.5, and OF > *

Yeah, I think they have those but probably not to the extent you're thinking..or for PC.

M.U.A. you collect coins (which you spend on costume upgrades 4 costumes per character each costume has different attributes to level up) and gain levels and upgrade their powers/get new powers and stuff, but the general idea is to pick four of your favorites and use them all the time. Trying to upgrade everyone would be ridiculous neigh impossible, if you wanna play the others start a new game.

It's a pretty good game, but it doesn't really have any substance to it, you're constantly being rushed around to do things that just pop up at the last minute, but theres no timer on anything so you can take as long as you want doing anything which is nice. You're apparently not a comic book fan either, which is fine, i'm not. I imagine comic book readers get their jollies off with this game though :o

I won't nag you until you play, if you don't like it go ahead and skip it.

Psychonauts however, that game fucking rocks and you do have to play it :o

Oh, just wanted to add something about the marvel game.

You dont have to use four characters at a time, if you really want to you can just use one at a time.

Vampire: Masquerade bloodlines was actually a pretty sweet game, you dont even need to be a fan of vampires to get into it, excellent gameplay. I never beat it, I didnt own it, was a friends but he had to use my computer to play cuz his was too weak lol.

If you want something interesting and unique, Cave Story.... freeware indie game made by some Japanese guy. Kind of Metroid-ish.

Mass Effect? An MMO? :mamoru: Just some random suggestions

:ugh: lets make a game with requirements so high that 80% of people who play video games can't play it at a reasonable level of quality and call it Arma 2
