I was sitting at home bored so I went to Sandbridge and took some pictures. It was stupid cold on the water so I didnt stay out long and I really didnt explore because of that also. I aslso found the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge so I went there and walked on a couple of the trails and took some pictures too.

I realized I left it on 800 iso once I got home, and for some reason my kit lens just is not sharp at all. I was shooting at extremely fast shutter speeds (speeds that even my parkinsons ass cant shake the camera enough to blur my telephoto) and they still just did not have any sharpness. Even shooting on f8 and higher they were still blurry. I think i'm going to be investing in a new walk around soon.

f8 isn't really that much- a billionth of a second shutter speed won't make things any more crisp..

f22, iso 100- see if it's any sharper then if you have enough light...but I have no idea about the kit lens. Get a 50 1.8 for a really cheap sharp lens, (~$75)

Yeah, but it shouldnt be blurry at any setting at that speed. I'm planning on getting a 50 soon also.

did you do any sharpening in your PP work? from what I've read, almost all digital images need some form of sharpening for web viewing.

No sharpening done. I would agree with that to an extent, but my 75-300 Canon is ALOT sharper than my 18-55 kit lens.

As far as cleaning the sensor, how is that done? I'm a n00b when it comes to cameras and have never done that.

I would say use the clone stamp on the yellow lines under the car and try different angles. Look at Derict's stuff or something for refference.

It's imageshack, I have no server.

And the car only looks good from the back, it has one of the ugliest front ends i've ever seen. Either way, I wasnt really planning on shooting the vehicle, I just was driving down the road and saw that it looked like a halfway decent spot besides the normal "warehouse" or "industrial city graffiti garage docks" spots that everyone and their mother posts.
