Just bought some Red Wings. No clue on the exact style name because its different virtually everywhere I look. Some permutation of rugged, classic moc lug, briar, will get you what I've got. I would post pics, but apparently I need to post more...

I ended up ordering a pair from AE a couple of weeks ago. I wanted some Red Wings but I can't really afford $200+ boots right now, so I went with the cheaper alternatives ($70-80). I like them, a lot actually.

Those are the jcrew red wings - i would jump on them soooo fast if they were ever $120. The soles are different, i was never a big fan of the soles on the normal red wings. Good steal though.

I got so lucky, got my JCrew red wings on Style Forum for $100 shipped, he wore them about 10 times and then they sat in the box otherwise.

If you search on SF there was a guy that lived by a JCrew clearance center (not an outlet) and he was selling the JCrew Red Wings for $115 a pop brand new. Not sure if he's still doing it though

:eek3: I think I remember seeing an old thread on SF a few weeks back about that, I dont' remember seeing those specific boots. I'll check again.

I saw a pair on eBay for about $150 and the seller (an eBay store), claims they're brand new...dunno if I can trust it.

Oh, and manchild - u know jcrew takes down their boots when they have a sale? Well if you search for the boots on google, it'll take u to jcrew page for the boots bc it's still on their system. The discount applies just the same.

does anyone else's red wings fit kind of loosely? my dad had a pair of red wing cowboy boots size 11 and i could only wear them for about an hour before my toes were killing me. (i wear a size 12 shoe). so i bought some size 12 red wings and they seem to be really loose. like if i slide my toes all the way forward, i can fit 2 fingers in behind my heel (middle finger stacked on first finger). should i size down?
