I have to different hard drives and I currently have Windows installed on both of them. I was wondering if there was a way I could boot up on my 2nd hard drive. My goal is to install Linux on one of these hard drives and have Windows on the other. So I would want to be able to switch back and forth between booting up under Windows and booting up under Linux. Is there a program that enables me to do this or is there an easier way? Thanks

Most of the Linux Distros come with a dual-boot program on the install disk, like GRUB and LILO.

Or you can n00b it for awhile by changing your boot disk sequence in the BIOS everytime you want to change.

IMO, your best bet is to tell your BIOS to boot off the linux drive, then use LILO to boot whichever one you want.

If you use Mandrake 9 or RedHat 8 (Don't prefer those imo, slackware > all), it will automatically partition your drive and add windows to Lilo boot for you. So you won't have any problems. :big grin:
