Boot OS selection question

    ok
    i have 2 hard disks
    primary has 2 partitions, 1 is windows xp, the other is just storage
    slave has 2 partitions on it 1 is getting red hat, the other is storage

    how will i be able to choose boot OS?
    what do i need to install ?

    RedHat will come with LILO which will do this, I do essentially the same thing (Mandrake on primary, NT on slave). If you need help setting it up (should be pretty obvious in RedHat installation/setup), try the LILO mini-HOWTO.

    use grub instead of lilo

    so if i install grub or lilo on my linux partition everything will work fine i'll have a selection everytime i boot, what if i remove linux is my xp boot sector going to be messed up?

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it make it's very own tiny little partition - independant of all other partitions? I remember Warp's used to do that.

    lilo & grub goes into ur mbr.

    if u do remove linux just fixmbr from windows
