After much thought I think I might end up going 24-70 for my 'second' Fx lens, simply because it is a good lens to live on the camera to go in my backpack where ever I go and in my day to day life... I dont think I am good enough to live day to day with a super wide.

How much subject isolation can you get with the 24-70?

    Anyone got some examples?

i know the 28-70 products excellent bokeh, creamy. so the 24-70 should do the same if not better.

24-70 is excellent. You should get one, at some point.
    Might as well be now...

I love my 28-70, I imagine the 24-70 is even better. Mine rarely leaves the camera.

Just to clarify, subject isolation due to shallow DOF != bokeh.
