I'm concerned with putting on mass, and I don't have all that much to work with right now - so are bodypart splits for me? Would it be a better idea to do fullbody everyday?

don't do fullbody if you have the time, your muscles need time to recover between sessions

I highly suggest that read, as it's pretty informative, though a bit long. In short, the article pretty much says that the majority of people should be using the full-body routine. Splits are primarily for the advanced lifters.

I've always stuck to body-part splits in the past but I will be trying my first full-body routine in a few weeks.

If I had to reccommend a routine for a beginner, I'd probably reccommend a full body routine. Once you get more advanced and know how to train and hit muscle hard, you could do a split.

Body part splits do wonders for me. I still mix in some compound. Plus just because I dont train compound/full body every day, it doesnt mean that body part is hit more than one in a week. For example, I do Shoulders on Tuesdays and hit them again on Chest and Back days (although indirectly).

yep bodypart splits are fine as long as you are adding weight.
