Tonight I had a very important presentation to deliver. I had to speak about the motion picture industry and how it was a worthwhile investment for those that were looking to support me and the rest of the production of nicholas of myra.

I had to speak to about 300 people tonight. I am NOT a public speaker. I didn't know how to prepare or what to expect and how to control my nerves.

What I did know, is that practice and dedication and believing in yourself matters. How? Bodybuilding.

Takign a discipline that requires 110% dedication and foucs can do wonders for a drive within ANY ambition. Tonight I demonstrated that the mind is the most powerful tool. I took 5 weeks to prepare for tonight. Rehearsed 25 times each night, preparing and accentuating each delivery differently to see what was the most effective. Such as I would have done for any bodybuilding show. You want to show you strong points and hide your weak ones. Here my strong points were my speech and my weak points were my confidence. Although 110% confident in what I was saying, I wanted it to come across that way and NOT show any fear or doubt.

It took long hours of preparing and finding the right focus to deliver. Tonight, I delivered one of the most important speeches of my life...and I nailed it because of my instilled dedication, ambition and drive to succeed....all learned from bodybuilding. To take and apply ones self to a sport as difficult, physically difficult, it shapes the mind and helps you cope with the difficulties of facing such obstacles.

Bodybuilding not only has improved my overall physical apperance, but now has helped me achieve things that normally I wouldn't have been able to do.

"Arnold once said that if you can compete in a bodybuilding show, there isn't anything you can't do. It sets the blue print of the rest of your life"

    -Pur

I believe that. Tonight, I lived that. What a great feeling

thought I'd share with you guys. Don't give up in anything you want to do...ever.

    thanks

P.S. I wore the tie you all love to hate :) PICS PAGE 2

there better not be, hes posting a real post and some good inspiration and what lifting and living a lifestyle can do for people. Everyone here has felt it before im sure, everyone take lifting and dieting an your lifestyle out of the picture, think real hard, what do you come up with?

I'm glad that public speaking has never really gotten to me like it has some people. The only thing I really have had problems with are the audible pauses (ummm type stuff).

Good job Filmy. As much as I wanted to come in here and run my mouth, practicing 25 times a night for 5 weeks takes a hell of a lot of determination!

that was a good motivational post. It's good that bodybuilding has helped you with other aspects of your life and i hope that i can learn from it too when i go out in the professional world.
