Never heard of it, is it good?
I think I'd consider Rocky or Kickboxer to be really motivational working out movies, theyre about training but not lifting specifically obviously.
I can't find any info on this movie on imdb. :/
Its a movie about a life change challenge that Bill Phillips (he was the former president of EAS I believe) ran some years back.
Pumping Iron is definitely up there, but this movie shows ordinary people
looking forward to Defranco's documentary
oh snap that looks amazing
love to lift in this kind of atmosphere
If it was what I watched like 7 or 8 years ago... not really. Pumping Iron was far more inspirational to me.
If you did find it inspirational...more power to you.
Yeah Defranco doesn't fuck around
Hes made more money off Louie style techniques than Louie himself could ever dream of
Yeah and from what I've seen of his training he pushes his athletes really hard, its some intense shit.
Like I'd be passed out in a pool of my own vomit if I did their conditioning work.
isn't that the guy who was all "in high school i was a huge nerd and people beat on me, now i'm huge and the girls love me. my dad used to call me a wimp and i hate him"
edit: the guy on the cover i mean...he was on MTV a while back i think too....
no....the guy on the cover is Shawn Phillips
I'm not gonna lie, the black dude in those defranco videos scares the shit out of me.
ya, the first part of that video did scare me
holy shit @ 0:34
That guy is awesome. Theres a vid of him going apeshit at some dude doing suspended strap push ups. With a dude like that screaming at you thats how you know the true meaning of working till failure.
ah ok, well there's another big bodybuilder dude that wears glasses that was on MTV whining about his childhood
