So I've been going to the gym 5 days a week and really staying on routine as best I can for the last 4 weeks. The trainer there used the pinch thing to get my body fat (which she said was 26.8%) and yesterday we did it again and she said it was 24.6% now.

I have a few questions, is that method realistic? Is that a measurable amount or could it just be variance, and if it is measurable is that okay for 4 weeks?

I'm going to keep up on it either way, I'm just curious.

Its rarely accurate and the number doesnt mean shit.
Look in the mirror, its going to be the most accurate measuring device you own.

Well, right now I'm not really noticing a difference but all my belts have become one notch tighter and I can't wear pant pants without them sagging badly so I know it's working (which is why I said either way I'm continuing) I just love quantitative real results, I have a numbers thing :)

    Is it in yet?
The higher the percentage of bodyfat the more off the pinch is going to be.

buy a seamstress measuring tape, its like a dollar and chart your progress via measurements on your waist, gut (if you have one), thighs, chest, arms, and anything else you want to measure.
