I decided to read up on this stuff for fun:

I don't know about GI Joe, but some of the shit sounds about right. I don't think I'll ever be 100% happy with the way I look. If I get big I'll want to be leaner, if I get too lean I'll want to get bigger. I'm always trying to get stronger. Despite being a big fucker I don't see myself like that. I tend to think I'm small then I'll see pictures of me standing next to my normal sized friends and be surprised.

I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing. You gotta stay hungry if you want to achieve your goals. I just set goals along the way and see how far I can go with this thing. Whether its getting stronger, bigger, improving performance at a sport, etc. As long as it doesn't start interfering with your personal life (work, family, relationships, etc).

Muscle dysmorphia can cause individuals to:

Become reclusive due to the belief others will judge their (perceived) "smallness"
    Wear very baggy clothes
Constantly check themselves in a mirror
Become distressed if a gym session is missed
Take potentially dangerous drugs (e.g. anabolic steroids)
    Neglecting jobs/relationships/family due to exercising
In his 2000 book The Adonis Complex, Harvard psychiatrist Harrison Pope argues that muscle dysmorphia is fueled by the portrayal of overly fit characters of unattainable musculature in children's cartoons, such as G.I. Joe.

why wear baggy clothes? so they fit better? thats only one that doesnt seem to fit

Google muscle dysmorphia and you'll get some interesting reading.

The first part sorta describes me, I've always been a little too self conscious for my own good. But I don't take it to the extreme.

I think there's a difference between being self conscious and driven, and having muscle dysmorphia. You have a serious problem when you quit your job and lose your friends so that you can stay in the gym more, you lift even when sick or injured, etc.

I don't know if I'll ever say to myself "wow, you're not a fatty anymore!" Or at least i can't see me saying that ever - if i start looking like Timberwolf my tune might change :dunno: But i won't quit my day job so i can spend 8 hours/day in the gym.

I dont spend too much time in the gym, and I prefer tighter clothes over the loose so I have to push myself to look good in them, but I definitely underestimate myself most of the time. If I'm not looking in the mirror I am sure I look like a 150lb ethiopian, even when I get compliments from friends, I don't take them seriously.

I don't have body dysmorphia, but it's not far off.

it's taken over me too... I don't wear tight fitting clothes anymore, people always make me sound bigger than I am? or maybe I am just that much bigger, I dunno.

Gonna take AS, look in the mirror frequently, weigh and measure myself too damn much, etc

I feel a little fat when I miss a session and I am never happy with my size, but that is about it.

Like all Psychological disorders, its only considered a disorder if it interferes with you being happy in your life. As long as youre not slowly isolating yourself and becoming ultra obsessive most pyschologists would never diagnose you with it.

Although as I've mentioned before, some people here definately have many key symptoms.

Only people who's opinions matter about my looks are my girls (not so much), my mom (she makes sure I eat), and myself.
I don't shop Metro, I keep them loose and comfortable, and I'm not 15 anymore.
I use mirrors as a progress report.
Only distressed if I miss for a sissy reason-- which is never.
    Not interested in steroids.
    Nope.
Cartoons were entertaining back when they were good.
