Well, two questions for our military personell:

    1. Is there a lack of body armor? Are soldiors getting shot at without this protection?

    2. The government states the Dragonskin (a brand) does not meet government requirements. Are soldiors buying this because of a lack of avalibility of government issued armor or because they believe the third-party product to be of better quality?

This all relates back to a few discussions I've had in DIACF and On-Topic. I'd really appreciate any input you all have. If, for some odd reason, you're not suppossed to talk about it, tell me that as well.

Despite what the media has been saying lately there is no lack of body armor. If anything we have a surplus. Most of the statistics I've read have included personnel located nowhere near the front lines / anywhere that IBA's would be practical. Hell, some guys don't even bothere putting their plates in on patrol.
