 But I do think that Sylvia is going to use this as a way to fight Fedor now

I fail to understand how watching Fedor kill Monson is supposed to be entertaining.

I'm not a Fedor fanoboy, but I think he'd destroy Monson if only by his relentlessness.

I thought it was funny how the sherdog forums were going NUTS Friday talking about how Antonio Silva would demolish Fedor... Now that he got taken out by Pele, silence....

Hopefully Fedor doesn't leave PRIDE any time soon... They are the only organization that has enough top heavy weights to at least remotely challenge him... I'm a huge Fedor nut hugger, but I don't want to see him in can matches nearly every fight (not that Monson is a can, but not even close to Fedor's level)....

This will be a harder fight for Fedor than you give Monson credit for.

If Monson beats Fedor does that mean Tim Sylvia > Fedor? :noes:

Fedor ain't leaving pride anytime soon. Shoot, Pride is probably PAYING him to fight in American orgs, only for the fact that MMA is becoming so big here yet most people stick to UFC... by introducting Fedor and having him smack down some American heavyweights maybe some yank's will see the light of Pride and start buying their PPV's.

It's all advertising in some way or another. Either way it will be a fun fight to watch. I don't think Monson stands a chance, but he'll give Fedor a little trouble before losing.

I dont think itll be much of a contest fedors fought better wrestlers and grapplers then monson and destroyed them all.

As for the Fedor v Hunt fight I didnt realise it was a title shot??? and I think Hunt could stop Fedor he has the hands to knock anyone out but I doubt itll happen.

Because i train with Monson I know that much more about him. Believe me on this if he was gonna get killed I'd say so and for what he is getting paid it would be worth it for him to take a 0 chance fight.

Monson can beat Fedor its just not that likely. Notice I never said he would win. I just said that it would not be as one sided as you all seem to think.

Hmm I thought it wasn't a title shot. If so, why Hunt of all people? I like him as a stand up fighter but knowing that his belt's on the line Fedor won't toy with him and end it real quick with a sub or some classic Fedor Gn'P.

As for Monson, I've lost all enthusiasm for him after the Silvia fight. I don't have an ounce of excitement about this one...

    Two good fighters...

Monson is a good fighter... but Fedor is simply on another level than most guys out there. Besides if Monson couldn't get past Silvia's striking and ground defense (not that such a thing exists), wtf do you think will happen when he's up against a guy whose striking is 10x better and who fights on the ground like he grew up in the wild in a family of anacondas.

I think the rules might give Monson about 10 more second since Fedor cant knee while on the ground
