BMW tire rotation

    Why doesnt BMW recommend rotating tires?

    It's BS man. Don't listen to them. Unless your rear wheels are wider than your fronts, it should be ok to rotate.

    Oh, I dont have a BMW. I was just wondering why they specified no rotation. Seemed kind of lame to me.

    i rotated my tires and it seemed quite fine ...
    worked like a charm

    In theory you lose performance from the tire. Since it gets worn in a certain way when being on that end of the car, when you change it your contact patch may be not be optimal until it wears in.

    I rotate my tires all the time with no negative effects on the track or autocrossing.
