1. playing blurays via my PS3 using a phillips HDMI 6foot cable. The audio lags about .5 seconds behind the video. This is driving me insane enough to where the 10 or so blu-ray movies I've gotten are unwatchable.

Playing regular DVD's in my old stand alone DVD player via component cable audio and video sync perfectly. What gives?

Is this a bad HDMI cable? or Is it my ps3?

    Thanks in advance.:x:

    Need more info.

Is the audio going through a receiver, or is the ps3 directly hooked up to the tv? Is the surround system hooked up to the tv via a common audio out from the tv?

    A couple of suggestions:

    1. If you haven't already, try unplugging your HDMI cable from bot the PS3 and your TV and plugging it back in.

    2. Try changing the audio options on your PS3 - it may be that your TV cannot quite handle the output format you are sending it from the PS3.

    3. Try another HDMI cable ( http://www.firefold.com ) - from what I've read if a certain one of the wires within the cable are damaged it can cause an audio delay.

    4. If your TV has more than 1 HDMI input try changing to another one.
