I just bought a Dell d610 laptop with intel pro/wireless 2915ABG card. I noticed there is a light for bluetooth next to the wifi light on the keyboard but I do not have the hardware. I was wondering what I had to do to upgrade to internal bluetooth. Do I just need a module made for my computer or are they more universal?

Yep, it's only a module. I'm not sure if you can just buy it though. I don't see why not.

I was looking on ebay and there was one offbrand model but I would prefer to buy an intel or dell one. I guess I'll have to do some searching around.

if I'm not mistaken, it's a dell-branded thing that they include when you buy the laptop... maybe a mini-pci card?

anyways- if you buy an off-brand one, it may/may not work with the little indicator

the real question, though, is who cares about the indicator? I wouldn't make that a decision factor when deciding what to purchase.

So there is no soldering or anything like that just clips in? I was looking at a few that were talking about soldering them on which is not somthing I really care to do.

:werd: installing ram is actually harder, it more like plugging in a plug
