So my bonus finally came through and I'm all set to buy the V710. Finally verizon got bluetooth, but i've heard that they've turned off Object Push and Object Exchange, which means no transfering files between my phone and PDA and no using my pda to dial numbers (2 reasons i want a bluetooth phone). Motorola is supposed to be fixing that sometime in the next year (even though verizon's site is already advertising it), any body know when its supposed to happen?

Probably be awhile... its a marketing ploy, because the only way to transfer pics and vids is if you go through their "get pix" and "get video" services whether it be monthly fee or one at a time fee's

I know, course i've heard rumors that the phone is going to be dropped anyway, and the main reason is the bluetooth doesn't work. So who knows...

You realize you can get into the firmware and flex menus and add/take out stuff right? :)

It's actually the Verizon forum. There is a temporary forum dedicated to the v710 in the sub-category of the Verizon page.

    :)

From what I've read, the problem is that Verizon has a conflict of interest between its "Get It Now" service and bluetooth. If you could download games, music, pics with bluetooth, then you don't need to pay the "Get it now" service. Thats why those bluetooth functions have been disabled.

Read then post. I know why the bluetooth was disabled, i wanted to know when its going to be fixed. Moto says they're "working" on the problem, but i was wondering if anyone heard when it was supposed to be released.

Any bluetooth issues will be handled by Verizon as they can update the phone for you in-store.
