Have they gotten anywhere with backing up blu-rays? When I google it all I see is people who are ripping them to their computer from torrents. I am looking for something to make a direct copy of what I have. I figured if so I would pick up a internal burner and make it external. No, I am not trying to profit off of this, My parents recently fell into the blu-ray scene and I have about 120 movies and I am tired of them coming over and using my movies. The disks might be too expensive for me to even mess with right now. I figured I would ask you guys. -Thanks, Kyle

The discs are stupidly expensive right now. About $17 for a single 25GB BD-R. You can buy a movie for just a bit more. I'm not aware of any programs that will rip Blue-ray right now. Toast will burn them but I'm not even sure it supports anything more then burning data discs (vs movie discs like you're looking to do).

Yeah, any CD-R/W drive will work, no need for DVD-R/W.
