Blah @ Sony POS receivers

    I had an older Sony receiver that I was able to get replaced via an extended warranty for an STR-DE895 about 8 months ago. Now as of the other day the right front main terminal doesnt work. The aux right front terminal works fine though.

    I think I'm going to have to go raise some hell. This is bullshit. Wish I had taken the Yamaha as replacement instead. I dont need the phono input that much anyway.

    I have a sony STR-DE475 receiver i've had for numerous years and it's never given me any problems. Always had a broken subwoofer out port (but that's why i got it open box for $80, was returned for broken sub out) :mamoru:

    but the receiver worked like a champ otherwise

    The one I had replaced was a Sony. The only real problem was a firmware bug until one of the service technicians 'resoldered a transistor' and after that it started overheating.
