    Opinions?

I went and looked at it today and it's really sharp. Normally I don't like black rims but on this I think it looks pretty hot. Porsche certified 2001 C4, 19k miles, full leather and upgraded stereo. And no, they aren't white walls, it's chrome.

Looks good, just a shame it's all ruined by the evil orange side markers.

Clear side markers would be the first thing done.

I'm working on a deal, but it'd be under 50 including taxes and 2 year extended warranty. Unfortunately I'm going away tomorrow so I can't really do anything until tuesday. Hopefully it's still around. The salesman is practically stalking me about it :noes:

I would take that in the quick. I would black out the lights thou, would go great with the paint and the wheels.

Love it, although I saw it needs the aero kit minus the wing, it looks hot! I am thinking of either a 996 C2 or e46 M3 as my next car, so hard for me to think of which I want!

Are you sure you want a C4? I just picked up a C2 997 and I am really happy with it. I was told not to get the 4 unless I HAVE to drive it in snow. In the rain PSM will keep you planted so you only want the 4 for pulling power in snow. Also, 4's are taller, although wider, they are still higher up. Now this is how it is on 997's and I imagine its the same with 996's. You could save some serious dough, get better gas mileage and have better performance if you go with a C2. Just my opinion, let me know what you end up doing.

I believe C4S' have the widebody, not the C4. It is true that you don't really need the AWD of the C4, as PSM will and should keep your ass in check in the rain, and snow, granted you have a set of winter tires on.

I don't specifically want a C4, but I get stuck in surprise snowstorms from time to time so it'd be nice to have. I don't care about the savings on gas or the difference in price for a C2. The performance gains with a C2 are very minimal too, basically the C4 it's just a little heavier.

I think that I've decided to hold off right now though anyway. I have 5 months on a lease left and there's no shortage of these things for sale. I'm sure more will go up this winter.

The lame and played-out black rims fad will die soon.

First off, it was a factory option from 4 years ago. Secondly, shut the fuck up.

Well the main concern with C4's are not the added weight as much as it the increased reciprocating mass. If you have to go through snow then the loss in performance is necessary.

Doesn't matter anyway, the car sold for $48,000 yesterday.

Yeah, but it's hard to find an 02 I like in my price range. There really are a lot of 911s for sale around me though, cars.com alone has 72 within 30 miles. I'll find a good one eventually, not worried (yet).

996's are pretty easy to find and relatively cheap. I looked at an 02 cab with hard top, full leather and aluminum package for mid 50's. Took a pass, but it was tempting. Make sure you get an 02 or newer for the extra hp and better sound.
