bets on whether the program gets shut down due to the jits kids hurting the regular population?

I wish I would have started BJJ in HS. I feel like 23 was too late.

A purple belt at my gym is also a high school teacher and started a HS BJJ program after school.

A lot of the kids in the program are wrestlers, but can only train with him in the off season, obviously.

I started at 21 and feel like it was too late. :hs: Wish I'd listened to my dad and started when he did almost 3 years earlier.

Almost got his blue belt, then hurt his shoulder and ended up quitting. I think he and I trained for like 3 weeks together before he hurt himself (at work of all shit) and in his late 40s, couldn't get it rehabbed well enough that he could come back.

i started at 19, I don't think this was too late since I was more mature and ready to train hard at this age. I think if I started in HS i wouldn't have been that focused on it and it would have been a waste of money (alot of money).

I see alot of HS kids at my club at the 4:30 class, the guys who wrestle are the ones who work the hardest.

wrestling is HUGE at my old highschool(state champs for the last 7yrs, and ranked #1 in the nation a few times).... It'd be cool if they had a jiu jitsu program too

i find that people who know how to fight are less likely to get in a fight :dunno:

plus, the kids know they are going to get boot out of the program if they RNC somebody

in our school it was never the wrestlers that got into fights.. it was always the football players, or metal/goth kids (were very few of them, I live in a rual community)

all I do is work, eat, sleep, hang out with the SO and bjj. I'm the youngest at the gym, but sometimes I wish I started earlier. Either way, I'm happy.
