I switched from Azureus to BitComet the other day because Azureus was becoming too much of a memory hog with this last update. Anyway I've been using BitComet and I've noticed that regardless if I am downloading 1 file or 5 it kills my internet connection in general. Web pages load as if I'm on dial up and I did a speed test while using BitComet and did one when it was shut down and I went from 3,550 down to 150 down. Any ideas of what can be causing the slowdown?

The only thing that I can think of that would do that is if Azureus was capping your upload whereas BitComet isn't. If you're maxing yourself out while uploading it'll completely kill your connection (assuming you're on a standard home connection and not a T1/T3 or something)
