ok, so i got an invite for bit-tvhd.org, i thought it would be a simple process to convert hd movies for view on my g4 power book(no comments please), but its turning out to be harder than i thought. so unless someone can help me out, im willing to give my account up for a regular bitmetv.org account or invite or other good movie/tv site

I know everything there is to know about converting HD movies, I download nightlies of mkv splitters, open source h264 convertors, I compile new builds of ffmpeg with different ./configure options hoping to find a magical combination to replace VisualHub's engine while still using its GUI, I check daily to see if mp4box is updated to allow for AC3 tracks.

    What are your questions?
The first thing I know is if you have a pre-Intel mac, you're pretty screwed with conversion, it just is way too slow. So it sounds like you're fucked from the beginning.

it'll most likely be the movie being choppy and not VLC
