Anyway to get the birth control pill without parent notification or consent (G/f is 17)? We needed to be relieved from this prison that is The Condom. Also, she's being paranoid as shit saying she will need to use it everyday and it needs to be hidden. Can anybody gave the worrier some damn ideas? I'm not any good with that stuff.

www.plannedparenthood.com Go to clinic, get exam, get BC. She can keep the pills in her purse. If she thinks that her parents will be goin thru her bag, she can get the Patch. Each week you put on a new patch, fourth week no patch=period. 3 patches in a box....cheap from planned parent hood if you tell them you dont work. Np parental advisement required. Good luck.

Planned Parenthood. She goes, the doctor checks her out down there, prescribes a birth control. They also have a Benefit card, which you can get if you don't work, or have a job that pays under 50 bucks a month if you're under 18. Free birth control and check ups.

If you're mature enough to have sex, you're mature enough to tell your parents and ask them to help you get it.

You have to be 18 or have parental consent.

No you don't. Where do you get your info :ugh:

My parents are religious, and don't condone sexual intercourse before marriage. As are many parents. Aside from anyones parents not condoning it,that's probably not something most people would be eager to do if there's another route... "Hey mom and dad, will you come with me to get birth control pills for my girlfriend!"

Different rules for different countries perhaps.

My parents are/were very religious, they've known all along.

All I'm saying is why hide it from your parents, they're going to find out anyway, just tell them.

My parents haven't found out yet, and I've been on birth control for almost a year. Better to keep some things from them, especially if you have parents like mine. Who says they're likely to find out? They're not, because you don't need them to.

Just because they don't bring it up, doesn't mean they don't know you're sexually active.

If you've been in a relationship for any length of time, they'll assume. Might as well tell them you're being responsible about it.

Why? I've been in a relationship for quite some time, and they know that. Doesn't mean they assume I'm sexually active. Don't ask, don't tell.

You ever think they're using the same theory, don't ask don't tell.

Parents are not stupid, they were your age at one point.

I know they're not stupid. But that doesn't mean they assume that I'm having sex due to my age and me being in a relationship for a long period of time. This entire conversation is about your thinking that parents automatically assume that you're sexually active once you're in a relationship that lasts for a while. Not everyone's parents are like that.

Also, if you go to any clinic and request that your parents aren't notified and that your parents don't know you're looking for birth control, you can get it. I got birth control right after I turned sixteen years old. Planned Parenthood helped me get a benefit card, which gets me my birth control and check ups for no fee. I didn't have to have any parental permission, nor did I have to be eighteen, OR at the age of consent to get it. Because they know that birth control isn't always used as birth control, as it is sometimes used to regulate periods and lessen pain caused by them.

  17. she can go to her regular doctor and ask for a perscription and her parents will not be notified because of privacy laws, or she can go to a free health clinic or plannedparenthood.

Note: she needs to take it EVERYDAY at the SAME TIME everyday or it won't be effective. if she is to worried about it being hidden she may forget to take it. I put mine next to my deoderant and I never forget it.

Well maybe you haven't noticed, but the majority of members here are from a place OTHER than London  If you're not sure about the laws in the US, then don't provide info that only applies to your area.

There are more than one religion you know. Just because your parents are quote unquote 'religious' doesn't mean anything about their obedience to the morals of that faith.

Dude. You need to stop assuming things. The way it is in your household, or the way your parents are, isn't so for everyone.

Muricane, my parents know (found out the hard way :mamoru: )

I'm referring to her parents, and I respect that she doesn't want to tell them, it's not my parents to tell. She can do what she wants with her family.

As far as planned parenthood....ugh I hate to walk in there (I'm pro-life...no flames please about my political views). But if that's what I must do, why not. My other question is somebody mentioned the shot. I was REALLY interested in this a while back....but I hard it's ridiculously pricy...we're broke  .

Well thank you all for your help, whoever said the patch :wiggle: I'm with you on tihs. That does seem to be the best option. Thanks again! :wavey:

 That's funny to hear. I say that because I have the exact same opinions about them as you. My feelings may be a bit different though. I fill with hate when I walk in that door and look at the obece women sitting behind that desk.

I would post a full page back to you, but I would be starting a huge political arguement with others on the forum where this isn't the place. So i'm gonna be a good guy and just say...

If you kept an eye on the On Topic forum, you could have involved yourself in the 'debate' type discussion I was having about a week ago.
