Birdshit on paint

    Repaint. Once the paint is actually etched, only a repaint can fix the spot completely.
     
  3. Man thats gonna be hell $$...I may try to sand it and polish it some..its pretty faint really..But it bugs the hell out of me..Any other tips

    If the paint is etched, wetsanding and polish will help a bit, but if the etching is through the clearcoat or basecoat, you can never make it perfect.
     
  5. Thanks Scott..It just happens to be on the roof...which sucks becuase the paint job is brand new..So to repaint a entire suburban roof would be very costly..Also i dont want paint lines..so ill see what happens.

    Stupid me for not seeing the crap till 2 days later

    I have the same problem w/ a '98 Lexus LS400 that my dad just picked up... the previous owner didn't take care of it at all, and there are 982173498274 etch marks from bird droppings. I'll get around to taking pictures of them all someday ;)
