    What exactly is this?

I switch between up and down constantly. Sometimes a few times an hour.

No breaks, no normality just up and down.

I also seem to get depressed at the same time as having rapid thoughts.

I get the effects of depression and mania at the same time.

    Flashbacks too.

I'm fairly stable right now on 1500 mg Valproate, 30 mg of Ablify (+ Inderall to stop the Akethisis), Mirtazapine 45mg.

I have been through all sorts of combinations and this so far is the best but I'm wondering about Topamax after reading about it being good for people who cycle rapidly.

I've been thinking I have bipolar. All the drugs scare me away though. My doctors say its only depression, but those meds dont do jack for my condition. I get the same way as you, which is different from plain depression. But is it bipolar, I dont know.

I tried all sorts of anti-depressants till one doc in Goa India suggested I try Lamosyn alongside Mirtazapine. It worked a treat.

Might wnt to ask your doc about the combination.

Other side of it and I guess Topamax should help.

Risperdal worked a treat but I put on 28 pounds.

You mean to tell us that you're on all those drugs, and you are diagnosed as Bipolar, but you don't know what it is? Ask your doctor for more information.

I'm told it's bipolar. I have read up on it, but I can't find anything out about this particular type of bipolar.

It's rare I cycle so fast and also seem to get depression related problems at the same time as manic symptoms.

    Thanks,

I'm printing it off and taking it with me next time I see the doc. Should help me getting across what I want to tell him.

Topamax works, but tends to make people forgetful.

I'm extremely forgetful so it would basically kill me if I took it.

Abilify works well... but 30mg is a lot. Try Lamictal maybe?

Where are you located, are you really in India?

    I forgot to mention Lamosyn.

I'm on 200mg of that aswell as what's up top. It's got rid of the depression but the Valproate and abilify don't go far enough.

I'm hoping to come off of Valproate, Abilify and Inderall (for the Akethisis).

Yes I'm in India right now. Working for a rental business in Goa.

edit in - I'm forgetfull due to racing thoughts. Too much info to process making it hard to write/type out any long passage without veering off on another tangent or forgetting.

I'm told once I feel ok they'll keep me on the drugs for while (year?) then try me off it for good hopefully.
