    anyone here use it?

im not a professional photographer by any means, i just take photos at motorsport events for my car club

my 70-200 with a 1.4x tc isnt cutting it anymore

is the 50-500 a good all round choice?

My friend Katie uses it with her 20D, optically, I would be happy with it. My only gripe is that it turns into a 10 foot fishing pole in full zoom.

I've got one and its pretty frickin sharp considering its focal range. The problem I have with it is carrying it around all the time. I picked up the 70-200 2.8 and like that alot better. No external moving parts FTW.
