Big PR today and finally posting progress pics

    Finally discovered the secret to pulling 405- don't do it on a fucking volume day :ugh: I always try after 365 for 5, then am too tired to get it more than 6" off the floor. Anyway, this puts my total at 975 or so, If I don't hit 1000 in my first meet in a month, I'll be pissed as shit.

    Anyway, I figured I had said I had gained 50+ lbs in the 7 months since I have been lifting, so I minus well post up some progress shots. I never took real progress pics, so I jsut have a few pics here and there with all my clothes on, but you get the idea.

    This is me at 6'2, 155 or so, looking like I just got out of a concentration camp. This is roughly a year ago, but I put on a total of 5lbs or so of fat between then and when I started lifiting (and more importantly, eating) in early January.

    Scary, huh?
    When I started lifting, my max squat (nowhere near parallel) was maybe 155, DL was 185-225ish DW style, and BP on a good day was 135 bouncing off my chest.

    Here is me after training today @ 214
    Squat= 365
    DL= 405
    BP= 185 5RM, so 205 *maybe* 1RM
    C&J= 180

    Please note I am awful at flexing, but I tried :hs:

    Yes, I know I have a googly eye that rivals dongsy and elfling. No, I will not take ass shots in thong.

    Serious thanks to Klown, Maine, Chris, and everyone else who has helped me on my path, this place has helped a ton and given me loads of inspiration. :bigthumb:

    What's your routine like ? It looks like you tried to gain a little too fast to me but hey, you were a skinny dude, it will probably easier for you to shed some pounds than the FFB that I am. :hs:

    Pretty much just the bill starr with a bit of supplemental extra stuff on wed, and a bit less DL volume and more intensity on mondays. Also, tire flipping or other GPP at least once a week.

    And yeah, I def put on more fat than I wanted, but the overall size/strength gains make it worthwhile to me. I plan on going on a slightly lower intensity/ higher volume program after my meet to try to drop 5-10lbs of fat.

    Still better than being scrawny IMO. Now that he has strength he can work on his appearance and switch to a more hypertrophy oriented routine or lose some fat.

    Im pretty much a noob to this as you can tell by my posts but your chest looks awfully small compared to the rest of you.

    That's because it is small compared tot he rest of me :hs: I go heavy and/or high volume at least 2x a week and the chest just refuses to grow. Note my lifts, bench went from 135ish to 200 or so, DL and squat both more than doubled. I've tried to go with more wide grip and DB full ROM work, so if anyone has ideas, i'm more than happy to take good advice.

    I can't even imagine the shit i would get for using a suit with a 400lb squat @ 215. DL and squat are both with a thin belt, (obviously) nothing for bench. I squat fairly wide, not sumo, but prob 2x shoulder width

    I'm surprised your bench hasn't gone up more though in comparison to your gains in squat/dl strength.
