I have been to this event 2x. The first was back in 2004 I believe and it was 284 or so people large. The second was this past October and I cannot remember the number of people who showed up, but it was awesome. Lots of prizes and contests, great sponsors, and a fun weekend for those who computer game.

Even if you aren't into PC stuff, they have a HUGE console area with some of them projected onto the wall.

I am already registered and looking forward to it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Post up if you would like to attend, it is worth the money! Last time I walked out with a video card and a bunch of gear.

i played terribly last time, but it was nice to play pick up games with people in the room and to roam around playing various console games all weekend...

plus there are random drawings and contents to keep you occupied during down time!

I never bothered to build a PC, but one of the bigger ones around here supposedly had a fuckload of console players show up when they could come. I think the last one had 200+ pple total. There fun and all, but usually around 5 am i run out of steam and have to pack it in, some dudes i know could play all night.

I would love to goto Quakecon onetime tho.

Hate if you must, but they are a ton of fun. I like this event because the venue is so huge. Dedicated gaming floor, eating area, sleeping area, bathrooms, etc.
