I couldn't care less if this game comes out in this decade, but I swear to god the delay better not affect BF3.

I do like the fact they are raising the player count (too bad it's not 64 player though :wtc:). Now to just get rid of the unlimited ammo, health regen, and add some classes and we'll have a real BF game. :bigthumb:

It's nice that they are tailoring the PC release with features people expect but the delay is a slap in the face.
EPIC, DiCE, iD to an extent... All now focus on the consoles.

if its a larger audience, and it makes more $ for the company, it would be a stupid move not to.

    pc gaming is dwindling.

Add Infinity Ward to that list. fourzerotwo has already said he likes dealing with the console crowd more than PC.

It makes complete business sense to do this, I just hate that there's no such thing as rewarding customer loyalty nowadays. BF wouldn't even be around if PC users never latched onto BF1942. Same with COD, if PC gamers didn't play the hell out of the first one and it's expansion (not to mention built mods, maps, and built the community from scratch), there would never have been COD2 and beyond for the console crowd to enjoy.

I can't complain too much though as PC users don't get nickel and dimed to death like the console crowd. Most console games are $10 more than their PC counterparts, have to pay for DLC and patches, and don't get access to mod tools. You just gotta take the bad with the good. :hsd:

for every pc game though, you pay say $50 for the game, and then usually never pay for mods/maps etc.

when developers can nickle and dime you for putting stuff up on psn/xbl they will. and since PCs are more $ then consoles, more people will buy the consoles...they are hitting a wider audience instead of a niche market.

i cant hate them for wanting to make money and stay in business.

Yep. Like I said, it makes business sense for them to do it. The sad thing is that there's not much PC users can do to change that except hope that console users switch to PC gaming (which won't happen anytime soon if ever). Boycotting a game is only going to show the devs that there is no longer a market in the PC genre and will pull support from that group and focus the resources on crafting a better console experience. The best thing for PC users to do in order to get devs attention for multiplatform games is to stroke their egos and ask nicely for the features they want.

best thing people can do...is make steam BOOM with business, so developers see where they need to be to sell their games.

    otherwise, not much will happen.

    32players :ugh:?

They better fucking COMPLETELY remake 1942, changing nothing but just using 1943's engine and physics, etc.
