say your cutting. your hungry and you got 3 more hours before your next break/lunch, and you can easily find a cookie/pizza/*insert fatty food here*, would it be best to just eat some of it rather than starving yourself?

point is, is it always better to eat something rather than nothing? even if its useless calories

Yeah eat something but limit the portion just so that you don't lose your muscle by starving your self.

Fat food surrounds you??? Where are you and what is around you? Maybe we could give better answers with some knowledge of your surroundings.

Yeah, but he could prepare ahead of time next time using their suggestions and bring in a can of nuts to set on his desk or a bag of sunflower seeds in his pocket.

I like sunflower seeds without the shells when I am working (in the case where I don't have a desk). That way I don't make a mess and the bags are fairly small in most cases.

I'm sure he knows that, he's just asking a simple question whether eating shitty food is better than nothing...

it doesn't matter what food you eat, just learn portion control. it's perfectly fine to have that pizza 3 hours before if you know how much you are taking in (each slice is usually ~200 cals or so). you can eat pizza everyday if you want and still lose weight perfectly fine.
