If I had the time to work out a bodypart (say chest and triceps) twice a week, would I get results quicker and better than once a week, or is that too much?

all the research ive done says once a week is enough. not to mention a lot of times those parts get indirect work when doing other exercises.

    Depends on volume, intensity, etc.

I've read both. For example, MaxOT calls for a 5 day split - working every major muscle group in compound movements once per week.

Arnold's programs are a 3 day split, working each muscle group twice per week for 6 days total in the gym.

I'm getting way better gains from 1x/week compared to 2x/week, but I think I need more rest than most people.
