I have a bunch of home videos on beta tapes, but my beta player doesn't work anymore. I want to get it transfered to DVD. I called up a few places, but it was like $40 for one tape. Is there a way I can transfer the video on the beta tape to my computer? I already have a dvd burner so I just need the video on my pc.

unless you have something to play the tape with, you're hooped. Maybe ebay would have a cheap beta player....

a tv tuner. They're cheap, less than $80.

You'll want to use a composite imput, not a RF/TV input (if there is one) the quality will be a lot better.
