I have a copy of Leopard and I'm just curious as to the easiest way to upgrade to it. Any helpful hints would be great!

    Back up important data.
Put the DVD in, follow the on-screen instructions.
    Sit while files copy.
    Reboot.
    Enjoy.
Is there some other way I do not know about?

don't forget to take off all the extra languages and printer drivers in the install custom option, that'll save some gigs of space...

    that's about it.

Out of my mind, brb never.
So is the back-up just in case of an "oh-shit" moment? Or does the install wipe all your personal files from the HD?

there are several ways to upgrade to leopard...
upgrade, archive and install, format and install

backup is just something you should ALWAYS do before upgrading an OS regardless of what route you take.

I always backup my machine, do a clean install, and then bring everything over with Migration Assistant.
