I've got a Mac Mini that I'm going to try to get rid of on eBay. What's the best way to remove all my documents, applications, settings, etc.? I read that a reinstall of the OS off of the restore discs is the best way, but that would restore the system to Tiger, but I'm trying to sell it with Leopard installed. Should I just reinstall Tiger and throw in the Leopard discs?

first, boot to the install disks.

then, instead of installing right away, open disk utility from the install disks.
delete your primary partition and create a new one.
then do "Erase Free Space" (you can do one pass, 7 passes, or whatever)

then do a new installation, and choose Erase and Install.

this will make sure some eBay guy can't find your deleted files.
