Worked out my triceps the other day (2 days ago) and they still kill. Any advice on recovery? I was thinking of just picking up some Tigerbalm and putting it on :squint:

Get some carbs + protein around your workouts, like up to 30-60 min before and then up until 30 min after. GI or stuff like that won't matter there, just eat. Tuna/chicken/meat/egg sandwich with low-fat cheese, a big glass of milk and yogurt both before and after is perfect.

usually a sign that you arent getting the right food in there and to your muscles though I dont know enough to say thats fact plus legs are a mofo to heal

you can always try protein shakes that you can buy at GNC, drink them within an hour after you workout. i personally just stick to a high protein, low fat diet, and i recover very quickly.

don't ever go to GNC. Ever. Unless your plan is to crop dust the counter, then its okay... I do it every time I go to the mall.

how long you been working out?

a lot of people get really sore for the first few weeks of lifting then don't get very sore at all after that

Buy a protein supplement (Optimum Nutrition chocolate whey is the most popular) and READ THE STICKIES

for general soreness what works for me is to do some warmups for the specific area and a bunch of bodyweight exercises... once you get into it the discomfort will go away. Stretch after that and you should feel a lot better.

Lies - you don't workout :squint:

Whey/carbs directly after a workout help me alot. I'll be ordering some more protein soon - want me to pick up some extra for you?
