I'm using a Hauppauge HD PVR to do HD recordings and streaming. I was using a HAVA Platinum before but that only recorded in 480i. Both use component loop so you can still play in HD. The HD PVR has optical in/out with no lag as far as I can tell which is nice and the recording quality is quite nice.
