Really over did it a couple days ago workgin legs. Major soreness in quads, hamstrings and calves.

    Good ways of rehabing?

Increased protein, lots of water, stretching... :wtc:

Well I know I really over did it -- esp since I've always negleted working legs and I hit the routine in full force.

    I'm an idiot.

And I'm also a paramedic, so lifting is kinda important. Fat patients, stretcher and such And it's bad when a patient out walks me to the ambulance. hahaha

I find even when it's real bad, as long as I do some warmups for that area and stretch a little in the morning, I'm good for the rest of the day as far as mobility and speed.

Long shower while stretching in shower. I also rub the muscle that is sore. That helps me loosen up.

If you need to function while on the job with so much soreness this first time, eating aspirin makes me feel like a whole new person.

Nothing you can really do to prevent it assuming you bust your ass in the gym. A solid diet, and stretching periodically throughout the day and a warm shower when you wake up will aid in your mobility though.

take a shower alternating hot water and cold water (as cold as you can stand), every minute or so, can help you recover something like 30% faster

i did this for my torn quad muscle, recommended by my orthopedist for that as well as for soreness
