I'm in the process of job hunting, and I know that a lot of companies are interested in people with .net experience. I took VB, C++, and SQL in college, so I have some experience, but I figured learning .net couldn't hurt.

Are there any online tutorials (free? :x: ) that will walk me through step by step on learning .net? Or any recommended books?

.NET is kind of the "demand" for programmers right now. I don't really like it. :dunno: I'm more fond of traditional C/C++ and open source development. I find myself doing the same thing though. Learning .NET. I bought two O'Riely books. They're not bad.
