I am just curious, you all have seen the link for the blog I am making with my buddy, it's funny stuff that is happening in his life.. like an on-going story of daily events in his life. So I was wondering how to drive traffic to it, and resources, or website that are good for posting material like this?

it is good for fast traffic, but after a day or two, you will not see hits from that link very often

stumbleupon and digg is great for long term traffic, i still get hits off of stuff i submitted months ago

I wondered if it was visitors or if reddit was just spidering my page over and over.

So i added a link to one specific page on my site. Can i add links to multiple pages on my site or would that be flagged as spamming (same user adding links to different pages but the same site)?

you gotta build a fan base with digg, and once you do, they start digging it and then you start to get more hit

keep plugging away, i run a couple of political blogs, one dedicated to obama, one to mccain and one to palin, those are hot topics, so i had alot of fans digg me for that, i digg there shit and they digg mine now

it takes time, traffic is not something that happens over night

Cool. I was afraid to do this before but I'm gonna start.

I assume the same goes for reddit, mixx, and stumbleupon?

i seriously can't believe how many hits I got from reddit. I've dugg my own stuff before and gotten like 1 hit from it. Same with stumbleupon. But I reddit'ed something for the first time the other day and it spiked traffic so hard that my google analytics graph was blown out of proportion and every previous day is just a flat dot along the bottom. The chart looks like this, lol:

i think stumbleupon limits it to 8 per domain

i do the same with digg as i do with reddit
