I'm looking at building up a music website. Basically very similar to these websites:

    http://www.killyourstereo.com/
    http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/

I want the website to have sections for:
    - news
    - reviews
    - interviews
    - gig guide
    - forum

What would be the best software to use for this? I'm thinking of using vbulletin for the forum. But I'm not sure on what CMS to use, I'd like something that can integrate with vbulletin well. Also I don't know how to do the gig guide. I'd like it so users can submit gigs (which have to be approved by admin before displayed), and also be able to submit reviews and interviews. Also I don't want users to have to login multiple times, so maybe I could base the whole website using a CMS for vbulletin? Is there some kind of gig listing addon for vbulletin? maybe turn the calendar into a gig lister somehow?

Basically, you can do it, it will just take time and money if you can't figure it out on your own. I doubt there is anything prepackaged that will come up with exactly what you want, so be prepared to either higher a vbulletin person or learn how to make it work yourself.
