I'm sure by now it's past time that I can take the barbell out for an extended cleaning period (up until now I had just been doing occasional warm sea salt soaks), but I'm not sure what the best method/product to clean the barbell with would be.

In the past, I've used hydrogen peroxide to clean the barbel that is in my tongue, but I've been told you shouldn't use that (it gets it all clean and shiny though :hs: )

    So, what should I use?

I use either Dettol or peroxide to clean my jewellery.

You might want to get a taper before you remove the jewelry. I had an Apadravya for a couple years and removed it for a "fling" and then could not get it back in.

do they close that quick, well at the least top pa? i gone ~2 months without jewelry in my PA and it went back in with a little force. I would think it would heal and stay open. I guess the head closes holes quickly :dunno:

Mine was "fully healed" (I had if for over 18 months). I had it out for less than an hour and could not get the barbell back in.

I'm not saying that it closed up in that amount of time but I could not get the bar through that much 'meat' without a taper (and without passing out).
