Since I am bored and planning on buying one in August.
I want a nice one, no WASR's no kits, I do not want nor have the means to assemble one.
    I was looking at these:

    http://www.ordnanceoutsellers.com/ak47.htm

Anything comparable. I want it to be new and have good fit and finish and price range about $500 or $500 delivered like that one?

I have an SSR-85-C2. It's a pretty good gun. I've put about 600 rounds through it so far and it's had one fail to fire. The firing pin didn't strike the primer hard enough. I've heard that some people have much worse luck with them, though. I'd say either spend an extra $100 and get an Arsenal or go cheap and get a Mak-90. If you can get over the thumbhole stocks Mak-90s are the cheapest "quality" AK you'll find.

Spending more wont be an option, trying to stay in this range as far as price. I guess I just really like the fit and finish of them that I have seen in pictures.
I would like an Arsenal one, but yeah I dont have an extra $100. I think this will be an upgrade from the WASR I was looking at.

www.atlanticfirearms.com is a good place to start looking. The Armory is probably the most reasonably priced "quality" fixed stock AK that you're going to get. You could try and find a used SAR-1 or, like I mentioned before, a Mak-90 and probably get away with spending less than $400.

If you don't mind getting an underfolder you should look at Century Yugos. They run about $500 and the fit and finish on them is supposed to be excellent.

Don't make the mistake of buying an AK-74. 5.45x39 is a bitch to get.

That's not what I hear on Arfcom. The supply of 5.45x39 has been pretty dry for a while now. Someone got a supply of corrosive russian stuff in a month or so ago and everyone went apeshit and started buying the hell out of it. You can still find it but that's pretty much the only 5.45x39 that's available.

    Vector has a good reputation.
