$2000 bucks, looking for a big screen. What do you guys suggest?
you missed the deal on the sony 57in before christmas, it was $1899 to your door and i'm very pleased with it
I purchased this TV back in October: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1076628923733&skuId=6356819&productCategoryId=pcmcat31800050029&type=product
At the time it was listed at $2000.00 I had a 10% off coupon that came in the mail, and they were giving away $100 gift cards if you purchased this TV. So I paid $1800 + tax and got a $100 gift card in return. In addition, I signed up for the Reward Zone, paid $10 for it, and got about $80 back from it.
Don't buy sony. period.
I got a Philips 55" widescreen HDTV for $1300 on sale at Good Guys. It's freaking awsome!
But go to Best Buy, Good Guys, etc, and see what they have. Different strokes for different folks when it comes to how TV's look.
Mitsubishi had the best looking picture when I was shopping, but it was outside my budget.
Do you have a Costco or Sams Club nearby? I was at Costco last week and they had a 65" Toshiba (rear projection) HDTV for $1699 ($1899 plus an instant coupon rebate taken off at register)! Two friends of mine here at work picked up the set and are very pleased with it.
