Best time to drink Whey Protein shake?

    I looked around and couldn't find anything about it. When is the best time to drink one? before work out? After? During? during a meal? before bed?

    does it even matter?

    any info would be great

    before and after with some source of carbs.

    i feel sick if i take it less than an hour 1/2 before :(

    so it's usually one right after, and then caasein before bed

    Pre/during/post workout. If you're trying to gain mass, then add carbs in a 3:1 ratio of carbs to protein.


    Also, adding free form leucine or BCAA will help to maximize protein synthesis via mTOR and p70 S6 kinase activation.
