prius = waste... under modern driving conditions/habits they lose nearly 40% of the quoted fuel economy by the EPA.

If you're looking for cheap as your only criteria, I suggest Corolla, Civic fuel economy and reliability without Civic insurance rates. Used models can be found cheaper than Civi's as well.

    Civic hatch or HX coupe.

Or a Corolla if you don't care that it's boring as shit to drive.

    corolla=cheap+reliable

We're selling my wife's 99'. 100K, a few dents, asking $3500 obo. That car has never needed any type of repair not caused by my wife bumping into something.

And I second the boring as hell comment.

I like my 87 Chevy Sprint Turbo for a fun daily commuter. And being a Suzuki its actually pretty reliable.

Oh yea, I always forget those. They have the indestructible 5S-FE engine, good handling and a lot of equipment.

Integra LS hatch or sedan, Accord 4cyl also good options though none of these are quite as fuel-efficient as a 1.5L Civic.

I would get a late 60's early 70's mini cooper.

They go for about 1300-5k for decent shape.

11-15k brand new(base list) (i forgot to list this in my first post, sorry about that)

im looking for another new car, or almost new car (ultra low mileage) something with a warranty etc and something where i dont have to worry about how the car was treated, and i just like new cars :dunno:

my accent has 38k miles on it right now, an 02, when it hits the 60-90k region im going to be looking for a replacement so im trying to get things into perspective ahead of time.

as a replacement for this car I want more room (sedean or large coupe/hatch). more power, more comfortable, etc.

i was loooking at the yaris and corrola

as far as boring to drive my accent is pretty boring already, lol

oh and i almost forgot, this car HAS to have AC

i like how i can get a fully optioned yaris (for the most part) for 17.1k

    Pros about the Celicas:
    - Good looks for the age
    - Amazing interior. It's Supra-esque, wraps to you, comfy seats.
    - Decent power for a 4 cylinder
    - Great handling, was one of the best in its class, and still can do decently
    - Strong motor
    - Big big hatch. I can fit an 8 1/2 foot table in it and still close the hatch completely.
    - Reliable too. May not be new, but some members of our site have over 200k miles.
    - Can be had for cheap.

    Cons:
    - I don't think the gas mileage is amazing. It gets around 24-27 usually.
    - Bad cup holder placement
    - I think that sometimes they have oil burning problems
    - Hardly any aftermarket unless you swap motors or get JDM parts. Everything else is cheap knockoffs.
    - The community for it is small, but knowledgeable.

Check out http://www.6gc.net if you're still interested.
