    What is better for forums?
    Ones I know of.
    -Vbulletin
    -PHPbb
    -SMF (one i use)
    -Invision

I know you have to pay for vbulletin, so maybe thats better. You get what you pay for, right? When i do decide to try making a successful board, i want it to be a good one.

Smf is decent in my opinion.
    Looking for options.

vBulletin and PHPbb are good. Invision sucks. Haven't used SMF. If you are crazy enough to run it on a windows server, Snitz is also pretty good.

VBulletin has better code, less vulnerabilities than phpBB.

I assume this is all PHP from the forums listed. If ASP.NET, check out InstantForums.NET. An example of their forums is their support forums here:

I use PHPBB2, it's pretty easy to admin, but vBulletin is good as well.. It's all up to how you like the backend to look. PHPBB2 seems to have a nicer one but it's all personal preference.
