I'm assuming it would have to be from Yamaha or Onkyo right?

My parents have a shitty HT system as it is but their reciever just died.

I need something that will power a Bose 6.1 system--it's one of those sets that has the little cube speakers (yes I know :ugh: ) I know Bose sucks, they NOW know Bose sucks, but hey thats what they have right now.

My Dad's hoping to land a decent reciever for under $300 but I dunno what to get him :dunno:

Go on ebay and look for Harman Kardon receivers.

I'm wondering the same thing... I know Denon is good too as well as H/K but I dunno which models I should be looking at. I just want something that sounds good more than anything else. I have a small room, but pretty decent speakers and I listen to music more than I watch movies.
