Are Eneloops the best? Looking to get at least 8 AA's. My SB-600 has become a battery monster.

I have eneloops in my 600's, and sometime I forget they even use batteries. It's like they're powered by my awesomeness.

I'd still rather have Eneloops. I get faster recharge times with them vs standard Alkiline batteries. That and I like just throwing my batteries on the charger if I know I have something to shoot comming up.

You're probably right. Still, 48 AA's would take me years to get through.

    fuck regular AA's.

Eneloops are the set it and forget it choice.

last thing I need is to need to worry about where my 10lb baggie of cheap batteries is.

That's only 4 sets of batteries for each of 3 flashes. I could go through that pretty quick, and I'm sure some others here could too.

so the eneloops stay charged longer than the high-end energizers, but do they recycle as fast?

my sister swapped crappy batteries into my 580EX without telling me.. I went out to use it and missed like half my shots cause the flash wasn't ready as fast as it is on the energizers :hs:
